About Michael Cummings
2011: Michael is co-authoring a complete manual on kettle bell training text book for the International Sports Science Association. He has also been invited on as a specialty trainer at the Olympic Training Center, and will ready the athletes for the 2012 Track and Field Competition.
Michael Cummings has been slinging iron since he was 13 years old. He has been involved with the industry since the day that he entered his parents' health club in San Jose California. Since then, Michael has been on a mission to create a healthier, happier population. He started by training high-school wrestlers in his parents' garage. While attending SDSU, Michael worked at a small independent training studio where he learned to train "the house mom." He was recruited by Frogs to become a trainer, and remained there for the next two years. During that time, Michael earned his Degree from SDSU in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy. He served as an aide for two years at Physiotherapy Associates, a physical therapy center in Vista, California. He simultaneously worked at The San Diego Clinic for Individuals with Disabilities. He appreciated the challenge of helping individuals that had been told by doctors and others that their only option was surgery. It was his personal mission to make these people fully-functional again without undergoing invasive surgery.
Later, a local gym recruited Michael as general manager, and although he is no longer a GM, he remains at that club, Cardiffit, to this day.
Michael is the founder of the RXN Sport Science Institute and co-inventor of the RXN method of rehabilitation and sports training. One of the RXN machines is currently in use by a large physical therapy center in Tempe, Arizona, and is endorsed by Dr. Richie, an orthopedic surgeon and team doctor to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Milwaukee Brewers, as well as Dr. Tom Fiel. Michael is the co-inventor of both the total tone (which will hit the national markets later this year) and Bosu's new product, the Cryo-Roller.
Michael is very active in the health and fitness industry: he is currently authoring text books for the ISSA and writes articles for several fitness websites.
His passion is training and being innovative in this vast field.
"I look at the human body and its potential like I look at space – so overwhelming and yet so simple, so incomprehensible yet comprehensible. I smile when I think of all of which we are capable."
About Robert Van Evera
Robert Van Evera has been a trainer with Premier Fit Club for over five years. Robert's first athletic passion, like many growing up in coastal San Diego, was learning to surf. His interests grew to encompass racing motocross, U.S.C.F. bicycle racing, and half- and full-marathon running. Robert attended gyms to enhance his success at these endeavors, but found that basic body-builder routines were only marginally effective.
Robert has since received certification as a Physical Education Fitness Specialist from San Diego City College as well as personal trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. In addition, Robert possesses a Basic Barbell Certification from CrossFit with Mark Rippetoe.
Robert's goal with each client is to assess and correct movement dysfunction, allowing improvement in the clients' athleticism by finding the right regression/progression of exercises to strengthen their basic movement patterns. Stability, mobility, strength and power are addressed to help each client reach their individual goals via the most effective means, being constantly vigilant to do no harm.

About Rick Sharp
History
Rick was into fitness as a child, but didn't begin training seriously until 1993 while stationed overseas in the Marine Corps. His motivation was to be the best representation of what a U.S. Marine should be. It wasn't long before he transformed himself from a small young man into a lean, muscular Marine. Soon Marines from all over the base were asking how they too could achieve similar results, and Rick quickly became the unofficial "trainer" for the majority of the Headquarters Battalion of the 3rd Marine Division&emdash;helping fellow Marines score higher on their physical fitness tests and maintain better appearance in their uniforms.
This new job title followed Rick throughout his entire enlistment from Okinawa to North Carolina to San Diego where he left Marine Corps in 1998 to pursue a career as a full time trainer. Rick now has more than 12 years of experience helping others transform their bodies and maximize their performance through proper nutrition and training.
During the last 12+ years Rick has worked on mastering the most streamlined and efficient training system possible for getting you stronger, leaner and healthier. His philosophy is that harder is not always better, but that smarter work is better, and works to develop his clients instead of destroying them. That does not mean that you won't still work hard with Rick&emdash;instead, every movement and every rep is done for your direct personal benefit and not to fuel his ego.
If you can put forth the effort and can stick to a customized program and are ready to feel better, perform better, and look better than ever before, call Rick at 760-415-6807 to take control of your fitness and health.
