When I started looking for a personal trainer, I knew I needed to find someone who could identify with not only my physical issues, but where I was in life mentally and emotionally. Having been in the fitness industry for many years myself, I understood the basics of training with weights and cardiovascular. But, I had become overweight in the past few years and going to the gym was un motivating and boring. I had lost self discipline, was depressed and unhealthy. I needed someone to jump start my fitness program and get me back in shape physically and mentally. I found this and more with Mike Cummings.
Mike has a degree in Kinesiology from SDSU; is CSCS and PNF certified, and a physical therapist aid. it was important for me to find a trainer with such qualifications...I am a woman in my 50's and could not afford injury while training. Mike was able to immediately diagnose muscle imbalances in my body that I was unaware and began treating those areas to get them back in alignment. Not only did he treat my imbalances, but Mike educated me on how to go forward to prevent recurrences. Along with the physical training, Mike also placed me on several eating programs throughout my training to get my body cleansed and then metabolize correctly. To this day, I eat the way Mike has shown me, and I feel amazingly strong and healthy for my age.
Everything I mentioned above should be what any trainer gives his or her clients. But I need to add more. What sets Mike apart from other trainers is his commitment to fitness and health. His genuine concern for his client's well-being is a rare find. My sessions with Mike were fun, interesting, challenging and rewarding. His positive attitude toward people and life is indeed infectious.
So, after twelve weeks with Mike Cummings, I went from 153 lbs to 139 lbs, I lost 9.5 inches overall and my body fat decreased from 28% to just under 20%. But, most importantly, I have been given a fresh, healthy and positive outlook on life as I go forward. I could not have achieved these results without the help and experience that Mike puts forth. Michael Cummings is the best trainer out there. He is energetic, fun, supportive and visionary. He is able to see what you can become and make it happen for you. When I went to see Mike, I was frustrated, I felt like I had tried everything and failed miserably. It wasn't that I was over-weight; I was in my weight category, but I was not happy with how I looked. Under Mike's program my body was dynamically changed for the better. I went from 24.5% body fat to 16.05% in 35 days. I dropped six pounds and have been able to maintain this healthier BMI through the holidays and winter with his support. I have watched Mike pick out the muscles in my legs that would give the contours I want and tailor exercises to give me the best look for my build. He has an artistic background and uses it in training to your advantage. He can see things and help you create them. If you give 100%, Mike gives more and together you get what you want: Results!

His knowledge in nutrition coupled with all of the hours of education he has taken has put him at the top of the list in my book.
